You may have heard of the term, responsive web design or RWD. This basically means that your website has been programmed in such a way that it can recognise the device it is being viewed on and adapt the site accordingly. This will include scaling images, text and buttons to allow the viewer to still be able to easily navigate through the site regardless as to whether they are on a mobile phone, tablet or PC.

There are many programming technique that need to be used in order to accomplish this such as using pt instead of px when programming font sizes in the CSS file. This allows the font to be scaled in proportion to the rest of the site without affecting the layout.

If you are unsure as to whether your website is responsive then check with your programmer as you may even be losing ranking positions if it isn’t.
