As a webmaster, it is very important to take time and familiarize yourself with all the key elements which help make your website work efficiently. Reputation Management Software for Big Brands

Posted on November 10, 2014 at 7:24 pm

Most big recognisable brands will use some form of reputation management software to keep tabs on their performance across the board. Other leading brands will have their own department to manage the reputation, and that can include:

  • Complaints Staff
  • Press Team
  • Public Relation Consultants
  • Customer Service Teams

The great thing with software is that it does part of the job for you, and it can monitor any comments on your business on social media accounts review pages, blogs and the internet in general. You can quickly identify possible harmful comments and resolve them quickly, which in turn may improve your reputation and keep your business ‘in good light’.

The fact that most big retailers invest a serious amount into reputation management software or staff just shows how important it can actually be. Whether you have a large or small business you need to make sure you’re taking it into account.

Taking your business global

Posted on September 29, 2014 at 3:20 pm

If you have an established business and feel that you have or are conquering the UK market, now may be the time to look to go global. Depending on what you sell, this may or may not be suitable for you. Selling overseas does not need to be as stressful as you think and you can start small and grow. You do not necessarily need to have someone on the ground there and do not even of had to been to the country yourself. Many UK companies start by selling to the rest of Europe first and then expand to other places such as America at a later date.

If you have an ecommerce website then selling abroad is relatively straight forward. You need to check which countries you are going to sell to and work out how you are going to charge for postage. It may be that you can charge a flat rate initially to cover delivery or it may be quite complex, depending on the size and the weight of the package.

Have a list of all the questions you may have and arrange a meeting with your web development company to run through your idea.

Posted on August 21, 2014 at 1:28 pm

Okay so you’ve got a bricks and mortar store but you’re lacking in the online department. Some business will opt for the cheap options; a brochure website. Whereby they display their products and deal with order over the phone.

The only problem is people want to make payments quickly and receive their items fast, and they’ll be more inclined to make a purchase if you have en ecommerce website. If you have a secure online store then you can display products, stock levels, and process your order online in once place.

Many business do so well online that they actually earn more than they do in their physical store. An ecommerce website is prompt, persuasive and it’s something people expect, no matter which industry you come from.

Posted on August 18, 2014 at 8:37 pm

When starting up a business there are so many things that you need to consider. One of the most important factors is the financial side of it. You need to be able to keep good records of all sales, purchases, salaries etc so you can keep track of how well the company is doing but also to assist you when you have to do your yearend tax return. There are many different types of accounting software that will allow you to do this and then produce the reports you require at the touch of a button. Sage and QuickBooks are amongst some of the most popular and they do not only do accounting but can also be used as a marketing tool. Sage software, for example, allows you to create a record for each customer you have. It automatically updates their record with sales that you have made to them but in the more advanced packages it lets you add even more detail to their account. Information such as their interests, contacts/email addresses and size of their business may be useful to you when you have a promotion on that you would like to share.
